Thai foot massage is a massage therapy based on foot reflexology. The organs of man such as heart, lungs, stomach, intestines and kidneys can be found on the sole of the foot.
Foot massage is supposed to calm the body and provide the parts that have been out of balance due to stress with sufficient blood and energy. Because in this view the body is fully stimulated during a foot massage, waste products are released, which can release emotions.
Reflexology restores and maintains the energy flow throughout the body. This energy flow is the basis of our health. Illness is the result of a blockage of this energy flow. All organs and body parts are connected to places on the feet, hands and ears, the so-called "reflex zones". Massage of these zones can release energy blockages and thus restore them.
Foot reflexology is not a cure. It relaxes and harmonizes the body and increases its self-healing capacity.
With Thai foot massage, the pressure points on the sole of the foot are stimulated with a massage stick. One of the main goals of this form of foot massage is to reduce physical and psychological tension. It improves blood flow, activates the organs and stimulates the nerves.
The Thai foot massage is built up with rubbing movements over the entire foot to warm up the foot, followed by light kneading and acupressure. In this view, the sole of the foot is seen as the mirror of the body. If an organ or body part is not working properly, it will be reflected in the feet. If a painful stimulus is felt at the spot on the foot that corresponds to the relevant organ or body part, this may indicate a blockage of the energy flow. By applying acupressure with a massage stick on certain points of the sole of the foot, the organs are stimulated and a blockage can be reduced or eliminated.
For about an hour, not only the feet are treated, but also the entire lower leg.
